Would you use recycling containers at public beach access areas

Thanks for the quick response. I would also be concerned about noise issues that will impact full-time residents living nearby during very early or very late pick-ups. Overall, it's a great idea if done right.

Thanks for asking for people's opinions.

No problem as we always try to get community input. As I mentioned it is with our typical beach maintenance team so it is no different then what we are doing now as far as equipment so it won't be loud or anything. Just more time and labor intensive.

On the occasion when I throw garbage into those containers, I would sort and properly dispose of the items, but usually, I hall my garbage out myself, rather than filling up those needed containers.

Just a reminder to all:

There is a recycling trailer behind Publix on 395. It may or may not be convenient to your house, but just about everyone in SoWal, visitors and residents alike, gets to Publix pretty frequently.

There is also a trailer just north of French Laundry and there used to be one at the school in Point Wash.

In either a post here, or on the county web site, there is a complete list of the other sites.

I'm clearly in favor of Brad's proposal, but we all need to remember there are already some recycling locations available to us.
