What is a wolf spider?

Jdarg found a big one in the garage not long ago. Just a bit larger and we could have saddled the thing.

Wolf Spiders look really cool, but I don't want them crawling in my bed. They are a little fuzzy with gray hair, which probably is where the name comes from.

What is it with spiders this morning? I opened up the bottom drawer in one of the kitchen cabinets and saw a great big Daddy Long Legs scrambling around. Now I have to pull everything out and run it through the dishwasher.

EEEWW. Wolf spiders get their name from the way they hunt their prey.
I am so allergic to spider bites. Some like to burrow, which is why they might like beds and covers.
Got bit by one on my hand once, and woke up with what looked like a crab claw.

Hey skunky, I think the mouse is still hanging around. Saw what loooked like him yesterday sitting outside my window looking at me.
Maybe I should send him to Mermy's to hunt down the daddy long legs.
