Sanjaya is the new pick for Vote for the Worst, now that Antonella and Sundance are gone.. maybe that has something to do with it?
I really don't want to think that website has the potential to actually affect the results, but what else would explain how he has gotten through?

and was it just me, but I had to turn Diana Ross off. Her screeching gave me a splitting headache. :roll: and I have to google her age, because dang, she sounded terrible, but she did look pretty good for someone her age.
She must have a good surgeon.

Yes, I have to agree. I always liked her but last night's screeching was not good.

I know I am in the minority, I usually am. If you go to www.americanidol.com and go to downloads, you can preview all of the performances from last night. If you listen to these, Sanjaya's preview sounds better than Chris R., Stephanie and Haley. I wish people would give a little break to him. He is not as bad as a lot of people on this board have made him out to be. I think he is better than Disney material. I don't know who the hot young male singers are but I would buy his cd. He is in tune, not the shaky high-low notes Stephanie and Haley tried to reach. Without seeing Chris dance, his voice sounded blah.

Listen to the downloads and tell me what you think. I know he is not the American Idol, but he is not the worst of the 11 at least from the previews!

Amazing what a little bit of praise did for Sanjaya's face. Even if he gets voted off tomorrow, he did his best and looked like he enjoyed himself for once. I loved Jordin the best tonight. I also really liked Blake and he hasn't been my favorite. He sang like Sting! I liked Chris Sligh's voice too. I hate to say that Phil, one of my favorites did not do too well. I think out of all the performances, Stephanie, Phil and Sanjaya I think could go. What happened to Haley? I think they will remember her name now!

Oh, there's always a theme. There may be one night, maybe the last, that they get to choose whatever. I agree with your assessment. I haven't voted yet. Blake, Lakisha, Melinda, Jordin...definitely. Maybe Chris R. and Chris S.

That little girl who was so excited in the audience that she was crying is smitten with Sanjaya. They had her up on the stage after the show. I think Melinda Doolittle is a very polished singer. She will still be in when it is down to just two. I think she will win. I love the theme, British Invasion songs.
