Lady, the Nutramax says cans only and has UPC codes if you click on their site. If you got pouches, you shouldn't worry. It loos confusing because they put can or pouch, but then they list only cans in the recall.
Eukanuba's site is down for maintenance.

I hope so cause I had read something about both cans and pouches affected. I know. I tried to access the Eukanuba site myself and couldn't access it yesterday. Ok, the one pouch of Nutro Max Gourmet Classics I fed him yesterday isn't recalled but the two remaining unopened pouches I have of Nutro Natural Choice and Nutro Natural Choice Complete Care are part of the recall and he won't be eating them that is for sure. I need to talk to my son and tell him not to buy his cats any Nutro Max Natural Choice Complete Care or Nutro Max Gourmet Classics. Don't want them sick.

I was relieved becasue I had to put both my dogs on KD Prescription Diet back in December after they had elevated creatinine levels back in December...then I wondered what caused them both to have kidney problems at the same time...

Rat Poison To Blame

My babies ate food with UPC labels that matched the re-called food. I still have 10 pouches of it that I am saving in case they get sick. I am keeping a close eye on them. How the he** does rat poison get in there???? UGH!!!! :bang:

The toxin was something some foreign countries use to kill rats. This was used by the Chinese on their wheat crop. It is illegal in the U.S.! And I guess it was sold to Menu Foods to be included in their dog and cat food they manufacture. Luckily the Prescription Diet Hills dog food is not included. I looked at their website. My dog has been on K/D for a good while and W/D over the past few weeks which he refuses to eat, but he is refusing every canned dog food right now, dry also.

I am sure the imported was a lot cheaper.
Dogs and kitties here have been affected. An 8 month old cat! It is so sad.
We just do dry kibble food: Canidae (dog) and Felidae (kitty).
And the occasional shrimp.
