So I get home at 5:00...weather is sunny. Son states he needs to drop off a job app by a mall about 10 miles away. I tell him storm's a comin', but agree to take him. His car is in shop indefinitely. We jump in the truck and take the dog. We get to the destination and he's only in there about 5 min while I read "Entertainment" mag about AI and wait. He then comes out and asks if I'll drop him off at a friend's house that is sorta on the way home. I say ok. Big mistake.
We arrive at friend's house just as storm sirens begin to go off...
He jumps out, I figure I can outrun it...
The sirens are continuously going off, the dog's freaking out and all of the sudden the proverbial bottom drops out...
HAIL, HAIL and more HAIL!! Golf ball size, but when you're in a vehicle it sounds horrible!! Dog begins to really freak out...starts whining. So now, I have mr. dd on the cell telling me to take cover (ok, honey, where?) the dog whining, the radio saying take cover and the sirens still going off!
Oh and did I mention blinding rain?
I finally find half of an awning to pull under and wait it out. I get home finally and there's hail all over the front yard. Dog BOLTS from the truck into the house. Now I see a tornado hit about 10 miles from where I was.
Now....sun shining and rainbows. All I can say is Miss Kitty, you got outta town just in time!!

My cousin Linda and my aunt live in Fort Worth. As does her son Butch and his wife and twin daughters who are one year old. Hope they are all ok.

If that is headed our way I am soooo going to have to stand on the roof of my car armed with a hair dryer to take out the falling ice before it damages my new auto......

It has been storming here for the past hour and a half. Thunder, lightning, rain, they are saying we could have hail but I have yet to hear any. The thunder is pretty bad here right now even, we've had quite a light show also over the past hour and a half. It's what I cannot see after dark that I fear. We are supposed to have storms overnight also as is my son in Clarksville, TN. :creepy:
