I was lurking in 05. (looking for hurricane info) I didn't sign up and start posting until that fall. I used to love to laugh at LL and Darlene.

I joined in July '05, I think that was during Dennis, I remember Miss Kitty 'cause her tar made me laugh and I thought RO's 'tar was cute. I was not back on for a long time until summer of '07.

I was looking for some information and came on SoWal, I think my first thread to post in was "Crap on the beach", SJ did not understand what I meant and Bobby J cleared it up. I was :shock: when I realized who Bobby J was, he was a good friend and it was funny to recognize him.

Miss Kitty was the first to post something funny directed to me of course. I also thought that RO worked for Whiteyfunn! He kept saying "working for whitey" and I thought Whitey was a gay guy 'cause of her tar....it was fat Star Jones in a white gown with a big white feather boa. Mango was the first one I got to be friends with, she was looking for a housekeeper and I told her about mine, we started pm'n each other then. The rest is all a funny, funn blur!

Yeah, it took me forever to figure out the "funn" thing. I thought they were all related and that their last name was Funnderburk or somethinglike that. I searched for last names with the letters "funn" in them with no luck. I was scared to ask what "funn" meant. I guess I still don't understand where the second "n" came from.

I remember back in the day, long before I ever posted, a few early members used to have to wait a few days or so before someone would respond to a thread or post. I think there was just one forum. :shock:

I remember thinking I probably would not like the change from Graytonbeach.com message board to SoWal.com. I would have to learn how to navigate something new!

My all-time favorite 'tar is Ohio Beach Bum. Miss his 'tar and postings...

As someone else mentioned - loved the banter between Darlene and LL. Anyone know how his construction business is going? We need updated pics of his little boy!!

When the Funns first started posting some people thougt Kimmifunn and Jessifunn were married or gf/bf.

I lurked on graytonbeach.com and posted on a Florida AOL message board before this one. Lisa at the Beach was on there and really helpful. The first time we came to Sowal she was still at the House of Art and we stopped in to meet her. She led us to Seagrove Market, Red Bar and the old D&K's. Oh, the good old days...
