I'm still trying to decide if I'm gonna work that day and take Friday off. It's mine and mr. dd's 10th anniversary, but I'm not getting any vibes that he's got anything special planned. Probably just dinner on Tuesday night. Speaking of which, being the loving and thoughtful wife that I am, I haven't gotten him a gift yet....y'all got any suggestions?

This is some serious biziness here and a thread akin to the maters.
Festivities start tomorrow. Been planned for months. Depression will set in after watching post 4th displays and parades. The men will be sulking for weeks. Appetites gone. Sitting around reminiscing about those wonderful palm mortars and finales. The music is almost ready. The video screen getting set up. The bonfire wood is piled up.
On my way out for my 4th shopping spree at the grocery store. They need to eat prior to or they will wither away afterward.

Celebrating my birthday like everyone else!

We are having a Patriotic Pajama Porch Party at the house in Seagrove in the early a.m. to watch the parade go by! @ FFF and Lil' FFF, her friend, Little Beach and Little Beachboy as they go by in Lisa_at_the_beach's car (I'm still trying to get him to buy it for me, can you tell ;-) ) they will also be wearing goofy hats, as usual!

Then funn in the sunn! Then the fireworks. I love that you all do this just for my birthday!

We're going downtown to watch the baseball game (against Louisville ), watch the fireworks after, and then home to pack for SoWal!!!

One of my neighbors puts on a bigger show than downtown. Boats park all around his inlet for the show. We have practically front row seats right from our balcony. We will definitely be calming down our skiddish dog. She :sick: fireworks!

Not doing much. Husband has to work from 3:00 until 11:00 that night. We probably will go get something to eat earlier in the day though. Maybe some barbecue or spaghetti.
