My house in GA is totally disorganized. I keep the clutter hidden, but open up a closet or a drawer and you'll see a disaster. It stays pretty clean thanks to my cleaning service, but it needs a good deep-clean. I am also a pack rat, so I keep everything for fear that as soon as I throw it away, I'll need it. I really need someone to come in and help me organize my house, but no such services are available here. I also need a decorator, but I haven't found one whose tastes I like. They want to come in and spend a boatload of money, whereas I just want to make some slight modifications. So as a result, after taking down the wallpaper in the master bath, we haven't painted or papered it or the bedroom. They all want to do pale yellow or green; thise just aren't turn-on colors for me in a bedroom. Currently it's deep red with a lot of blue and white porcelain pieces that I collect. They say the deep red is out.
Also, Beach Jacket won't throw out any of her toys or old clothes, so her rooms have jam-packed closets. And I don't know what to do with her collection of formals that are taking up so much space -- it's not like I have any friends with 6'2" daughters. And she probably has a couple of hundred stuffed animals. Most of those need to go, but she gets sad when I ask her to get rid of any. And I don't know what to do with all of the American Girl furniture -- she doesn't want to get rid of that, either. But it clutters things up.
Of course, my closets aren't any better.

And neither are my husband's.
Don't even like to go into the attic. It is a real dumping ground.
