That's an awesome picture of the Charles E. Cessna. And to see how many people were on it - it was packed to the gills!

We are waiting for our admin to come down to decide where to hang it. Like I said before, it's pretty awesome. That is the beginning of Santa Rosa (Beach).

That boat seems like it would topple over! Hard to imagine. They said it had considerable weight underneath, although the water at Point Washington is so shallow, wonder if they ever got stuck?

Actually, that's my grandfather. I never met them, they died in the 40's, so it's cool to see their photos. The little boy with his mother and sister on the front porch is my dad, he was born in 1909. He swore he'd never marry, so by the time he did, he was considerably older.

Learn everything you can about your family. Love the pics.

I have restored about 60 photos so far of SoWal dating back to the teens, applied for a copyright, registered a fictious name, "Adrianne's Vintage Photos", and have contacted the TDC and 2 museums who want me to do a presentation. Our history is important, and needs to be preserved. I would like to see photos of our area on the walls of local businesses! I have developed a power point presentation that shows them very well. PM for more info.

Between here and there!
I was just wondering if you knew to whom the boat in your fabulous picture belonged to? My grandfather had a boat that looked like that around the late 50's and early 60's in that lake and on the side was the name Puddin'. Just wondering.

I don't know. He had a boat like that but aluminum when I was a kid. I don't know who your grandfather was, but I don't think there were too many people living there then. Could have been!
