This is probably a Realtor question, I don't know if there is any hard statistical evidence to back this up...

I am a local going on 3 year on 30A--having lived in Atlanta for 25 years prior to that. In that time, I have noticed Texas license plates more and more frequently as I travel up and down 30A.

Question: Did Dallas overtake Atlanta at some point in the total # of second home ownwers in this area? Or is Atlanta still # 1? Or am I wrong altogether?

Atlanta is still our number one market for second property owners. It does seem that some local spots get people primarily from one or two large cities or states. Typically in Seaside, I see many TX and TN license plates.

Texas is close but no cigar. 20% of Atlanta's population travels to our area each year.

Lots more roofers and maids from "Texas."
