They're from Atlanta. We've been going to see Jennifer at the local bars throughout her career here. It's such a great thing to see their success.
Oh, really. Where do they play in the ATL? I hadn't heard of them, but the performance was great. I am getting tired of hip-hop and looking for an alternative. I like classical, but it puts me to sleep when I'm driving. Frankly, IMO except for a few blips on the screen (like Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album), nothing compares to the music of the late sixties and early seventies, in particular, Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin. They're from Atlanta. They don't play too much in Atlanta any longer...usually only when here on tour. Jennifer used to sing at several of the local bars, like Eddie's Attic. She was solo, then a part of Soul Miner's Daughter, then solo.....etc. Since Sugarland's success, they've/she's been back to Eddie's a few times, maybe get on their email list.
If you're looking for an alternative and country music is a possibility, also check out Little Big Town.
