Dear Baby Jesus,

Please don't let anybody post a recent picture of David Lee Roth in buttless pants. I'm afraid his OMBs would be hanging out.

Thank you.

My son has been wanting to see TSO. They are most definitely rock with an orchestral twist. (Just like Apocalyptica is.)

OMG! OMBs! AAAuuuugggghhhh!

IBD, you just like the pierced nipples.

Drunkkenartist, Liza, Barbara Streisand Barry Manilow, Yanni, and Jimmy Buffet are not ROCK stars, by any stretch of the imagination. lol

They're NOT? Oh my, I feel so betrayed. I thought I was really rockin' there.:funn:

Okay....not a rock concert, but  seeing Jimmy Buffet play a benefit concert in Nashville for a local school of music. It was at TPAC, a smaller than normal venue, with Buffet and two other guys singing and playing guitars. No hoopla, no fanfare, no fancy stuff. Just pure music....a GRAYT time!!!:D It seemed like he was in your home or a local venue just hanging out and havin' funn.

DD...I am soooooooo jealous that you have seen Jackson Browne. Everytime I hear his songs, good memories come to mind.

I have to agree with DKA - Journey. But mine was 25 years ago. The only other ROCK concert I've seen in a venue was Bryan Adams (Pensacola, early 1992, the week before I found out I was expecting, worried Wes would be born deaf).

Have seen Beach Boys at Sandestin, Wet Willie (1970's) at the PC Civic Center, and J. Geils Band, and KC/Sunshine Band at Miracle Strip (may its memory rest in peace). Also - not rock, but Hank Jr. east of Freeport in 1982. Anyone else local remember that?

I tried to go to Elton in '96 in Tallahassee, but couldn't find anyone to go with me. I wish SoWal had been around then.

Despite all this, the BEST concert I've ever been to, and I was standing behind a support post in the top of the Leon Co Civic Center, behind the stage, was NOT a rock concert. It was Garth Brooks. And I don't even care for him anymore.

They are AMAZING. I met the member that used to be with Blue Oyster Cult and the founder , Paul O'Neill gave my daughter a silver dollar that we later found out was worth THOUSANDS of $$... And the light show would make Pink Floyd pack up and go home!LOL I hope to find them around here soon. They will only be touring for the next month.

Birmingham on New Years Eve is the closest one

they were in Chicago for 2 shows..Sunday night:sosad:

heres a [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itFfEZCZfbg&feature=related"]YouTube - Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Wish Liszt/Christmas Eve Encore[/ame] to an encore so if you ever get to see them you can be prepared. And if you see an old man digging in the garbage cans give him a dollar.... just do it...;-) you dont know what might happen.:D

I was kind of PO'd that they were only here for the 2 shows. You'd think Chicago would have had more. VEry disappointed. We've never seen them in concert.

I'll have to show my son this link. He's first, probably most favorite classical piece, was Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt. Very cool rendition of it on the link! (Of course, it always makes me think of Bugs Bunny! ;-))
