I no longer stay in Dune Allen
America is pimping itself to the world for cash. Banks have gone begging for money to patch up the mess they've created with easy credit that fueled the real estate money grab. If other nations don't like something about America, they can simply buy us and change it...beginning with the financials.

(1) Abu Dhabi Investment Authority buying a 4.9% stake in Citigroup Inc. for $7.5 billion

(2) Chinese investment fund's $5 billion stake in Morgan Stanley

(3) Singapore government-owned investment company's $6.2 Billion stake in Merrill Lynch

(4) Merrill Lynch currently in talks with Chinese and Middle Eastern government-sponsored investment funds to sell off ANOTHER big stake in company.

For Christmas, I received a small 2008 calendar from a trout fishing resort I visited this year. On the bottom of the page was written "Printed in the U.S.A" -- it was kinda nice to see.

Wasn't it just a couple of decades ago that common wisdom had us all being owned by the Japanese by now? Diversification of asset ownership can serve to align interests - theirs and ours- to the betterment of all.

Aww man I had to run out and didn't get a chance to answer. Like I said, that was something I saw not neccesarily something I agree with. However, it is an interesting top 5-6 politically. Canada and Mexico are economic "partners" with the US via NAFTA which some argue has hurt and not helped the US people. Saudi Arabia and Venezuela aren't what I would call "friends.". Nigeria is a political wild card and who knows what will happen with Iraq when all's said and done.

Texas Tea sure makes strange bedfellows.

Now we know why the US likes Mexico so much, and maybe we also know why we haven't started war with Saudi Arabia, even though many terrorists are trained there. We can also guess why the US has given billions of US Dollars to Africa, even though we had to borrow it to give it.
