Suspect releases hostages from Clinton campaign office, police say

ROCHESTER, N.H. - Authorities in New Hampshire say all hostages have been released after a deranged man wearing what appeared to be a bomb strapped to his chest walked into a Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign office.
Officials say he demanded to speak to the candidate during a nearly four-hour standoff.
The man freed the last of several hostages as the afternoon wore on, but he remains in the office and has not been taken into custody.
Clinton was in the Washington area at the time.
A law-enforcement official says extra security precautions are being taken to protect her.

I saw a clip of the fruit loop getting taken down by the who knows who. Probably a little bit of every law enforcement agency. The "bomb" turned out to be flares, and supposedly his son told the cops they were just flares. Maybe the SWAT team should have give him a match.

Mark my words:This nut will be held up as an example of somebody who will recieve 'appropriate' medical attention under Hill-care. I am thinking he will be injected with lots of haldol and placed in the seat of honor at her address at the Dem. Natl. convention. Opportunities like this do not go unused by team Clinton. Seriously, I jokingly said to the Punz tonight that he was probably planted by team Clinton for future benefit and she agreed that it was possible. Does that sound paranoid or is it sad that it is even plausible?

Both. Maybe any funds Shrillary gets will help us too. (joking) The paranoia I mean.
It was, she said, "A difficult but a very gratifying day."
But this was the best quote I heard today:
"Let's see. A guy on a two-day drunk goes into Hilary's office, opens his coat and shows he's brandishing a potentially explosive device. What has this guy done that Bill hasn't?"
But seriously, but couldn't a bomb expert be able to tell the difference from a flare and a real bomb? That was a small campaign storefront. Unless he had his coat closed the entire time. The footage on CNN was only aerial.

Seacreastkristi, I have been in the grandstand behind you on Hillary. My support, however, is beginning to erode, slightly, with the current tactics of Hill and my man Bill. If they turn negative with Barack, their supporters may, in turn, become negative toward them.

2008 will be the year that will point to the death of negative campaigning. People can be enlightened without being negative. People in 2008 want to know why they should vote for a candidate, rather than why they shouldn't vote for another.
