God of the ages,
We thank You for all who have served in the armed forces of this country.

We thank You for the freedom their sacrifice has earned and guarded for us. Help us to prize this freedom and use it well.


We ask You to bless all living veterans in a special way today, as well as the families of all veterans.



Comfort those who grieve for those who gave the last full measure of devotion.



Strengthen those who bear physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds.



Stand with those who provide care to them.



Move us to reach out to sisters and brothers who are veterans, or relatives of veterans, or who currently serve in the military.



We pray for the day when no one needs to serve in the military. Help us to live now in anticipation of that day, as people who long for peace, who pray for peace, and who seek to be peacemakers in this world.



We pray in Jesus? name. Amen.

An Iroquois Prayer

We return thanks to our mother, the earth, with sustains us.
We return thanks to the rivers and streams,which supply us with water.
We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.
We return thanks to the corn, and to her sisters, the beans and squash, which give us life.
We return thanks to the bushes and trees, which provide us with fruit. We return thanks to the wind, which, moving the air, has banished diseases.
We return thanks to the moon and the stars, which have given us their light when the sun was gone.
We return thanks to our grandfather He-no, .., who has given to us his rain.
We return thanks to the sun, that he has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.
Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit, in whom is embodied all goodness, and who directs all things for the good of his children.

I LOVE the opportunity that women and men have right now.......we are standing at the end of a long road that leads back in time to Women's Suffrage. We now have the opportunity for women of the 21st Century to make history....we can vote a woman into the Presidency. I don't think enough has been said or thought about this incredible time in our lives. After what Bush :banging: has done to this country it is the perfect time for a woman to pick up the pieces and bring an order to the United States. The time is now....tell every woman about the opportunity she has to make history.

It is quite obvious that Hillary does not need Bill to help her.....she stands on her own. Forget about Bill and his past....this is about a strong woman who was able to put her desires first and to do the smart thing. Let us stand with her to unite our country again.
