miss michigan-miss america  she even had lipstick on her teeth when she performed her talent.
i liked california overall, wisconsin had the best dress, and georgia shouldn't have even made it in the top 15.

I wish my town had the equivalent of SoWal.com ... today the woman co-anchoring the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion parade on our local NBC station was clearly drunk or on something, slurring her words, making no sense! It was so bad she was taken off the air near the end. She allegedly claims she had the flu. :rotfl: Unfortunately there is nowhere for people who watched the debacle to gather online and laugh at her ... if it had happened this afternoon in SoWal there would be 100 posts by now, at least!!

Thanks again Daddy-O!

That bald eagle I saw today hanging out on the lake was absolutely spectacular.

I did not care for any of the finalists. What was the point of the reality portion of it this year? The women that the reality part highlighted most of them did not even make the first cut???:dunno:

When is it appropriate to use then or than? I always get confused

Off the top of my head: One use of "then" is strictly about time, as in "I would love to be there, but I'm busy then." Another is a cause-effect comparison, which is also related to time: "If she says that one more time, then I'm gonna hit her in the mouth."

"Than" is a comparison: "I'm a fatter than she is, but I'm still cuter than her."

Did that clear it up, then? Or do we need someone smarter than me to help you?

(I STILL can't get effect and affect right, so I just avoid them altogether most of the time.)
