... about an adventure I had with Cork and OutOfTheBox. One that had my next door neighboor intrigued enough to join in, and drunk people on the balcony a few houses down yelling at us in the street.
This will from this point forward be referred to as the "Crustacean Rescue Mission."
Actually, the story really isn't that exciting, but Corky and my neighbor Denise made it funnier by being so dedicated to rescuing the little guys.
Cork was on her way to pick me up the other day for dinner, and I was in my driveway when I noticed something moving in the street. I thought it was a sandcrab, but when I got closer I noticed that it was what looked like a teeny little lobster. (Could've been a crawfish? Jury is still out on the identity of the creature. We'll just call it the thing.)
Anyway, I thought it was weird that it was out in the street in front of my house, instead of in the water where it should've been. Cork and OOTB showed up and I showed them, and Cork immediately decided we needed to return the thing to the water. She recruited her nephew to scoop it up in his hat and deliver it to the Gulf via the beach access across the street. By now Denise has joined us in the street, and she and Cork have discovered two more of the little creatures nearby.
Long story short (too late), we spent about fifteen to twenty minutes on this ridiculous rescue mission and I just thought it was kinda funny. We only found the three, but I'm still confused as to how they got out into the street. Any ideas?
