You will learn that while we don't have murders to report, we do make our own important issues, like what color sand people can put on the beach and what color signs should be. Outsiders would certainly laugh, as they probably consider violent crimes to be the worst things happening in their communities, but everything is relative. To us, things like BIG BLUE signs are important to us. Can we ignore the signs? Perhaps, because there is much beauty surrounding us, upon which we can focus. However, the signs are like symbols, and they do represent our area. We want our area represented for its uniqueness. These signs, however, make a statement that our area is not unique, and tries to blend it into the rest of the Emerald Coast.
