For those of you lucky enough to be off work today...well, I'm just so happy for ya!! :D

A little Presidential Trivia for you....

1. Sedated only by brandy, 11th president, James Polk, survived gall bladder surgery at the age of 17.

2. Often depicted wearing a tall black stovepipe hat, 16th president, Abrahm Lincoln carried letters, bills and notes in his hat.

3. In warm weather, 6th president, John Quincy Admas customarily went skinny-dipping in the Potomac River before dawn.

More to come....gotta work.

4. Speaking of skinny-dipping, on occasion, John Kennedy, 35th Prez. went skinny dipping in the indoor White House pool with some of his "non-Jackie" lady friends..boy times have changed, I guess there was a time when a Prez. could get away with that stuff!

4. John Tyler, 10th US president, fathered 15 children:eek: more than any president. He had 8 with his first wife and 7 by his second wife. Tyler was past his 70th birthday when his 15th child was born.

9th US President, William Henry Harrison was inaugurated on a bitterly cold day and gave the longest speech ever. The new president promptly caught a cold that soon developed into pneumonia. Harrison died exactly one month into his presidential term, the shortest in US history.
