For the record, I think I?m the sole member of the ?family values group?, since traderx is on the laissez-faire (French AND Latin in one day) side of that argument, but I never visited a Phenix City/Columbus strip club. I did know a girl who was found out as a "dancer", but she said the Gold Club was classy, not like the clubs on Victory Drive.

I actually see how they are related. One is 6th Gen's correct assumption that some young "ladies" at Auburn used those establishments to pay for college and thus "change" their minds in a way that gave them "hope" for a better lifestyle.

Secondly, Fort Benning (Special Forces Training) is in Columbus. So many a young man probably spent every dollar of "change" he had on the "hope" that those ladies charging him $25 dollars per lap dance "really" liked him and was going to take him home with her.

I don't they were worried about diseased Axis girls, just sick soldiers from enjoying R&R too much.

I think most of the hot Axis girls were busy in the baby factories!!!

6th Gen, that girl lied to you. There isn't anything classy about the Platinum Club -- which must be the establishment to which you refer. It is the skankiest place ever. The Gold Club is in Atlanta, and while it does attract a wealthier clientele, I wouldn't throw the term classy around when discussing it, either. It's a disgusting and demeaning way to have to make a living.

Gordo -- I'm a fiscal conservative, socially I'm liberal -- in the sense that I don't think personal issues are the business of the government.

That was it. I'm sure you did, but I want to make sure you caught the sarcasm dripping from the classy comment. However, no one has to make a living that way. We aren't that far off if you are as you say. I'm for drug legalization, repeal of blue laws, etc. My gay marriage stance is based on government sanction, not the lack thereof.

The Gold Club in Atlanta is defunct. Not only that, they went out of business. Seems they were the victim of their own success.

Wait, news flash: you are a fiscal conservative? Know what that means don't you? You are a Libertarian. Now don't shoot the messenger. :D
