Nov.4: End of the Line for Fat, Menapausal, Old, Angry White Men?

Will real change happen you'all?? Will there will be a changing of the guard on Nov. 4th!

I was listening to Sean Hannity, as I do quite a bit, to see how fair and balanced the world of today is. Man, he is actually on the verge of bursting a major artery he is so insensed about the upcoming possibility of a Dem Prez. and Congress, and the new Supreme Court. Then I thought of Bill O'Reilly, Rush, Cheney, Neil Bortz, Rove, Rumsfeld, and the like, and I thought to myself "all the old, fat, menapausal, gun supporting, pro war white men are soon going to be history--starting at the very top on Nov 4th!" To some degree, because of a potential Obama victory, the conservative radio chatterboxes will have more fodder to discuss, and will probably remain dutifully employed, but they will be in the "monority"....

Frankly. I am glad --and, as a 50+ white male myself, I never could quite relate to that group or mindset anyway---I am Liberal, in tune with my feminine side, anti-Nascar (it wastes precious gas) anti-war, Rationalist, anti-hunting, in favor a woman's right to decide, and I work out everyday, don't smoke, and eat right (into "preventive" healthcare).

Barack O. will be a very good start, don't get me wrong---he'll look good on some US currency in the future-and, hey, don't worry Sean Hannity, the money will still be green, not black or white--just kinda on the beige side---like our whole U.S. population will be in the near future-fancy that!

Eventually though, after Barack, I want a Prez that is just like me (without the "folksie" part), yes, someone I can sip lattes with and discuss the latest Cold Play C.D. with.

Actually, the best thing for O'Reilly, Rush, etc. and their media business is Obama being elected.

It gives their shows a big target to fight against and tons of fodder to rail about. Their ratings will soar. Lets face it, Keith Olbermann was an ex-sportscaster nobody until he started railing against Bush. Bush was the best thing that happened to Olbermann from a personal business standpoint. The same thing will happen with Rush, O'Reilly, and others.

So from their own personal media business standpoint, an Obama presidency will make them millions.

First off I don't think it's a given that Obama will win. I think McCain should not be dismissed so easily. The GOP knows how to win and they still might. I don't trust polls.

But more than anything, I am sad to see anyone hoping either of these men fail. Since their failure can also hurt our country I would pray they don't fail. I will certainly not be laughing at anyones failure or hoping something goes wrong for them as it will surely impact all of us as well. I have a Bible, I tend to cling to it, mean spiritedness is usually discouraged within it's pages. But hey maybe it's my interpretation...carry on.
