When I was in High School Home Ec we had to sew an item of clothing. Because I didn't have a robe I chose a robe pattern, made with light pink :love:terry; turned out so cute...everyone ended up wearing it on our senior trip to Daytona Beach. I would leave it in the bathroom and someone would come out with it on...made me wonder why I only got a B.
Anyway, I now have 3 robes...different lengths, fabrics etc. One is like a blanket warm fuzzy soft....I wear it when I get cold...husband hates it....It's my favorite.
Everytime I put it on he says,"Don't you have another robe!"

Mine is one of the few material gifts my son has ever given me. It's red plaid, old, with holes. I love it and I'm wearing it now.

Bathrobes have to be just right. I can't stand the thin flimsy one and the exra fluffy one makes me look like a marshmallow... which makes me want hot chocolate... but I digress. Mine is soft, comfy, worn at the elbows and has a few little holes in the sleeve (puppy bites I think) It's not stylish but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

here & now
Mine's pink, fuzzy and snuggly. I got it to wear in the hospital while I was in labor with my daughter. Every time I put it on I am taken back to those special days as a brand new mother. She loves to snuggle with me when I wear it too.

I have two, a green plaid (sp?) light robe for spring summer and fall with matching pajama pants. Then I have a heavier rainbow robe for winter months. Of course those are only when we have company. Otherwise it's au-naturale!

Please, we are forecasting rain with snow on Saturday. Au-naturale is for those few hurried moments you step out of the shower.

It's all about the fleece and keeping warm! Learned long ago that you can't find a warm robe that isn't bulky, hence the red fleece beast that is almost too warm for use in Florida!
