They cannot. If so, all of you should dump your mutual funds as you may end up in prison. Every large cap growth mutual fund had Wcom back in the late 90s. Bernie Ebbers was convicted of fraud, so I suppose all of the investors should be in prison as well.

The D.A. in this case is a bit of a nut job, but the people on this board would like to see anyone who does not ascribe to their politics jailed, regardless of merit. I see that anyone who dares question the new Messiah is branded as racist, told to "get over it, the election is over". However, this unhealthy obsession over the Bush administraion and hate spewing is acceptabe here.

You make great points in paragraph one. But you really go to the dark side after that...

What posts from which people are you reading that fuel the ideas that I have bolded in your paragraph 2?

Not sure about Vanguard Group

They also indicted him for "at least misdemeaner assault. It sounds pretty stupid.

This part is unclear to me, but it does not appear that he is a direct investor in the firm managing the prisons, but in the Vanguard Group, who in turn invested in the manager of the prisons. If this is the case, then it is very possible that I will be indicted for assault as well. If this Vanguard Group is the same as the Vanguard Group that manages Vanguard Funds, then I own some of their funds.

On the surface, it seems that not much is there, but it is interesting that the keyboards around SoWal are wet with drool from those who have him convicted and pardoned.

Not a lot of objectivity these days.

Cheney is not exactly a boy scout, so if he did do something wrong, I would certainly like to see him punished - as I would any elected official.

Yes, we are completely unobjective - as you can see from the statement below I am prepping the torches and pitchforks.

...... it will remain to see if he actually did anything of note or if the prosecutor is just a sour grapes wack-a-doo.

BS,

There are plenty of people on this board who remain objective and who disagree with you.

You seem to be reacting to what you think are other people's beliefs without actually reading (or giving a fair sniff to) what they have actually written here...

Perfect example- read the posts on this thread regarding pardons. I find discussion on the subject that comes from more of an academic perspective than anything else. No emotion, no opinions, no hate spewing, etc.

You can hope and pray that there will be some sort of justice meaded out as a result of this; however ,the only thing that will come of it in the long run is a lively debate on Sowal...:cuss:

The DA in Texas who indicted Cheney is a Looney Tune. He himself has been indicted in the past. The AP story goes into a little more detail.

Sorry, I thought that "Malevolent bitter schemer.....spineless AG....won't go anywhere because of Bush pardons (who's guilty?) ...you can hope and pray that justice would be meaded out (assuming that Cheney not guilty is not justice)"... were not too objective.

There was also a doctored photo of Karl Rove in handcuffs entitled "next" that was removed that I incorrectly assumed to be a rush to judgement.

Looking back at this entire thread has made me realize that these were really compliments, and that there was a lot of concern that the facts be considered before there was a rush to judgement.

Yes. I apologize--I removed it myself. It was in bad taste and did not progress the Cheney thread conversation. Things will come out, or they may never come out, those who are accountable will be held accountable. I'm ready to move on.

Okay. Fair point. I retract or at least dial back some. But please judge not the entire board (and everyone who disagrees with you) based on the opinion and delivery of some of its characters...

We have characters on both sides (this is what makes life and Sowal great) so it all balances out in the end...

H, I wish you would put your Rove pic back. I never meant to censor you or make you look bad. Plus, it was kinda funny...

Sorry if I was defensive...
