Right here!
I've decided to replace all my baseboarding but didn't really find anything I liked at Home Depot. Does anyone know of any construction / lumber / finishing supply companies between PCB and Destin that stock a good selection of unfisnished baseboarding?

Can you tell me a tiny bit more so I'm answering correctly? Is this covering just the first few feet high going around the room?

Nope just regular baseboarding, 5 inch or so in a style I like. Home Depot didn't have much of a selection.

If you like something like the above pic you can "stack" pieces to approximate it. Maybe use a 1x8 or 1x6, finished with a quarter-round on the bottom and a 1 or 1 1/2 inch decorative molding to finish off the top.

Thanks for the suggestion TFT, thought about that. My hope though is to find something like the picture above in a single piece (except the shoe, which I can get from Home Depot) to save on the amount of measuring, cutting and fitting work. I can actually order the above trim off the net, but I have to pay shipping and it only comes in 8ft sections.

HD or Lowe's or Ace on 98 might be able to special order something for you. Have you asked if they have books?

If you have samples of something you would like to match, there might be a local place that can make a "knife" for you and replicate the molding.

These guys look promising - I didn't think to do a local google search for "lumber" -

I think you would do yourself a world of good to go visit Hogans Hardwoods and ask them to see what they have in their warehouse. It's like Disney World in there.

If you find a wood species you like you can walk it up to Good Millworks in the front warehouse and they will turn it into anything you want.

I could tell you about it all day and I won't do it justice.

AAbsolute, do you think these guys are appropriate if I'm planning on installing painted trim? Their site seems to indicate they lean toward stained hardwood, but I really don't need anything like that nor do I want to pay out the nose for wood I'm just going to cover up.

You, my friend, are spot on. I was messed up by your first post that said unfinished. It stuck with me as clear, no paint-no prime.

South Bay Ace has finger joint trim in stock on 98. Builders 1st Choice has it on 331 in Freeport and Franks Cash and Carry has it on 331 in Freeport. We run to them when we can't wait for Southeastern Sash and Door to deliver from Fort Walton.

TFT had the nice advice using that 1 x 6 or 1 x 8 S4S(smooth, four sides) then adding base cap to the top or another small detail. We've been spraying or rolling quick dry sandable primer on the parts before installing.
