The birth of Greed....what year do YOU think

As far back as ancient Syria - how far back is that? They were a thriving civilisation long before the Old Testament was recorded. I'm thinking 9,000BC - so approx 11,000 years ago!

I think it started at the microscopic level. As Bill Hicks said, "We're a virus with shoes".

With everything that's going on in the world....especially within our country, the fault finding, the back and forth banterings, the talk talk talk, etc. I just have had this need to explore "greed"- what it is, how far back can I remember the feeling of greed, how far back I can explore it. Does it go back only to the time of Genesis or further. I do know fear is greatly involved. I think of it as imprisonment.....that's just thoughts for now.

Probably 250,000 years ago when ancient mammals formed a larger neocortex, became an early version of humans, and developed the ability to reason. Just one man's opinion, mind you. Pun intended.
