Apparently this weekend is going to be a doozie (sp?). Busier than the Alabama week. :yikes:

Yeah, I was going to post later this week. The mega county I live in is on Spring Break next week. A lot of them will roll in as early as Thursday.

They will deplete the grocery stores, liquor stores of supplies, and clog the roadways with vehicles. Everyone needs to grocery shop and stock up on adult beverages early! Stay off the roads if you can. Think I should start a thread to warn everyone? :dunno:

I think most locals are well aware that "hell week" is starting in a couple days.

I was going to clean the trash out of the yard, then realized who was inbound and decided it was an exercise in futility!

Calling all wenches! Lunch? Drinks? Anyone?

Tootsie, I will PM my cell to you and if the wenches have an outing, give me a call. I am vacationing with 10 kids so I may need to escape!

I wonder which of you ladies will run into me at breakfast at Red Bar again this year. Last year it was Tootsie, DD, and IBD (maybe one more).

Nothing like being greeted from across a noisy room by Tootsie yelling "Is that a Singinchicken?"

Always a good thing!

My ability to be oblivious is quite amazing sometimes - hence the standing rule to call me if there is a major hurricane inbound, as odds are I would be off grid and miss all the warnings.

How nice of you to call us ladies instead of wenches! I haven't made it to the Red Bar for breakfast yet but I'll be there once (or twice) for dinner.

yes! some of us have heard about the coming onslaught of atlanteans, and some haven't. I was told a few weeks ago would be the busiest, but sounds like that was a big fat lie.

any warnings appreciated gttbm! especially the part about getting to the liquor store early! spring break alert! it always catches us off guard no matter what - then we walk into Publix one day and the shelves are picked clean! we always forget what its like until we find ourselves caught without any liquor or toilet paper!

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
paula - didn't you tell 'em you have a bonfire soiree at the beach to go to?
we will miss you!

reminder: Dikki Du is playing at Bud & Ally's Apr 24 and 25, 8pm. in case anyone wants to go the night before or later the evening of the soiree.

ahem... I'll be teaching in -- get this -- Phuket beach in Thailand for a few days and I'll stay a few extra days to rest up before coming back home. It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it... but I definitely want to get to one of the soirees again soon! I'll be in SoWal Easter week, though.
