WOW! I am a big Adam supporter after watching that performance. My mouth was hanging open through the entire song (the ending made me a bit nervous). Mad World was one of my favorite songs around that era...I was a HUGE Tears For Fears fan. I hate to say that I am not familiar with Gary Jules but after viewing him on YouTube, I liked his version as well....great video.

I missed the first three (sorry Danny), but I really think it's time for Scott to go home. I am tired of feeling sorry for him when the judges critique him. He does not sound good with or without the piano.

I always enjoy watching Matt. He really needs to stick with the R&B stuff. ;-)

I guess I'm lucky that I actually like Fringe enough to have a season pass for it so I got to pretty easily see the bit that ran over into Fringe's time slot.

Loved Adam's performance, then Matt, then Allison.

I like Adam more when he is restrained - Tracks of My Tears and Mad World were outstanding (with the exception of that last note but the whole thing was so powerful not too many people cared or noticed.)

Matt, whether he does it for you or not, I think has the best moves on the stage and his falsetto when it is on, makes you get goosebumps (maybe just me:D) He did some kind of shoulder thrust a couple of times and I thought geeeeezze!

Someone had suggested a dance night theme and I would have to say, Matt is the only one who can really groove - if he breaks out "What Comes Around"
by JT, I think I will faint.

I really like Allison.

My top 3 still are Adam, Matt and Allison.

I can't wait to go to the tour! Anyone going to go this year?

Y'all are welcome. Alot of people who recorded it missed the end because the show ran long. Having 4 judges really adds to the time frame. Someone needs an edit button or perhaps they could eliminate a commercial or 2. Maybe Randy can drop a few less 'dawgs" and Paula can edit out some talk about the singers music being colors and rainbows. Just a thought.

Thanks so much cheering! I was livid when my DVR cut out.

I have been a fan of Adam's since the beginning and was so blown away by him last night. I was haunted by that song. First time in my AI watching history that I looked up a song someone had performed...mostly because I was unfamiliar with Mad World. Amazing. I want his album.

Liked Allison, Matt, Anoop and Danny.

Scott, Lil and Kris, not so much.

I say bye bye to Scott or Lil (I cringed a bit when she tried to dance like Tina).

Mad World is an amazing song. My son LOVES this song.
I agree abt the tina turner moves too. I wish she hadn't done that.

I love the Gary Jules version of 'Mad World' and really enjoyed how Adam both took the eerie instrumentals of that version and then decidedly made the vocals his own. And I've got to give props to him in general for going with "That 'Donnie Darko' song"

I like the DD version best too.

I was so  that my TIVO cut off Adams performance. He has been my fave since day one also. I am sure his song is on the internet - somewhere....

Allison is my other fave. She has a great voice and I see her going places. She stands out. is different.

Lil freaked me out as well. Bad performance by her b/c of the copycattedness (new word :D) of it all.

Matts song was good but he just does not do it for me at all. (sorry SMom)

Danny sings great but that is just it. no flash. wow.

the rest? no need to comment...

Matt doesn't do it for me either.

Adam's ending made me nervous too. He almost didn't make that last note. Actually, he didn't make it but who cares.

Danny is a good singer when he gets going. But I have a hard time with vocalists who rely on runs to land on the right note.
I'm afraid Anoop is losing some steam. But he's just so dam cute.

Danny was good. Allison sings and emotes beyond her years. I just don't understand her ever being in the bottom 3. I didn't hate Adam tonight and actually thought his performance was quite good. Sorry, but I think it's time for Scott to go. Kris, Lil, and Anoop were OK, but Anoop or Lil might find themselves in the bottom 3. But Matt was a complete standout with his performance of a great old Stevie Wonder song...WOW!!! He was much better than last week, and finally took the good advice he has been getting from the judges.

we will be on the Matt train together!

He took a worn out Stevie song and brought it back to life with a jazzy, sexy take on it!
