My only thought is...well...it would bother me to see Christ on a license plate. A license plate is just banal and utilitarian, and I prefer to see holy images in holy and lofty places where they can be given the respect they deserve.

Muslims ban the image of Muhammed to be depicted because they believe it detracts from the worship of God as a higher concept, a greater being. I think this license plate just finally allowed me to grasp that reasoning.

I agree--don't the states issue license plates in the first place, and shouldn't the state seperate itself from this type of thing. I think it is an insult to Jesus and his followers -frankly I find it kind of cheezy.

I'd pay a premium to get one that says "900 FOOT".

So. . . . if someone with one of these cuts you off in traffic and you yell "Jesus!!" you would be a tad more accurate in your response. Reminds me of an old joke that made the email rounds awhile back:

A police officer pulled a driver aside and asked for his license and registration.

"What's wrong, officer?" the driver asked. "I didn't go through any red lights, and I certainly wasn't speeding."

"No, you weren't," said the officer, "but I saw you waving your fist as you swerved around the lady driving in the left lane, and I further observed your flushed and angry face as you shouted at the driver of the Hummer who cut you off, and how you pounded your steering wheel when the traffic came to a stop near the bridge."

"Is that a crime, officer?"

"No, but when I saw the 'Jesus loves you and so do I' bumper sticker on the car, I figured this car had to be stolen."

Well, as Christians around the globe know, Christ came off that cross!

Lucifer, You'll have to use 900 ft.......900 FOOT is too many digits. :D

I don't digg this license plate and just relinquished my vanity plate! Went basic.

Google "Florida Jesus Christ license plate" and you'll come up with a heap of interesting reading. Talk about an explosive subject!!! Holey moley doesn't come close to it.

My opinion is that I don't like it. It's a little too Protestant for my tastes.

Yep...now I HAVE seen everything.

What happened to the simple fish symbol?

My other question...what ever happened to the separation of church and state?

Ya' know...I think that was also my first ever question in the political forum.
