Sounds like you have an invader somehow......

If it were me, I would run spyware and virus scan and if it's still happening, shut it down and go get an overhaul.....back up everything first, if it will let you.

Good luck!!!

Jury Duty

I was summoned for jury duty on Monday. I was seated today as fourth in line for a criminal case. First time that I haven't been let go on the first day. In the courtroom the judge introduced the attorneys and asked if any of us was related to or knew personally the attorneys. Then he introduced the defendant and asked the same question. Then he introduced the plaintiff -- ditto.

Then he asked if there was any reason that any of us could not be unbiased as a juror in the trial. I said, "I don't know if can be unbiased if I don't even know what the charge is." The lawyers and the judge (a friend who sits across the aisle from us at church) looked shocked (as if no one had ever asked that question before), and the lawyers immediately ran up to the bench. After some whispering, the judge said that I was dismissed from this trial and told me to go to the jury room.

An hour later I was dismissed. I wasn't trying to get out of jury duty, but we swore that we would answer all questions truthfully, and I couldn't truthfully say that I would be unbiased if the case had to do with a crime that had been committed against my family or that I have strong opinions regarding, such as our home invasion or my brother's death due to being run over by a drunk driver.

Neither the Prosecution or the Defense wanted to use one of their strikes on you so the judge told you to split!

I would have asked the charges too - in Fulton, I think they tell you prior to the questioning of the jurors.

This is the Coweta County Circuit. I really did think that it was weird that we weren't told what the charge was. I'll ask my friend the judge at church on Sunday if there was an accidental omission of that info.:dunno:

The person sitting two seats away from me was a lawyer that I know. We were both on the Board of Directors at the private school that my daughter attended. He didn't ask what the charge was.:dunno:
