Have to go to the Pcola airport today- we want a casual fun place to eat with a view, touristy is OK- seafood or Mex. Any ideas?

Go to Jambalaya's. It's my friend's restaurant in Gulf Breeze. Has a view of the bay. Food is amazing. He's from New Orleans. They have a jazz brunch on Sunday, but also their regular menu. Tell them Pam sent you if you go!

Travel directly west of the airport a few miles to the mall. On the south side bordering the main road is a mexican place - family style typical.

Pegleg Pete's out on Pensacola Island has the best Grouper sandwich I've ever eaten. And then, you can drive the beach to Navarre as the road is open again and it is beautiful.

no view, and not Mexican...but one of my favorite places for good food is Jerry's Cajun Cafe and Market on 9th near the airport. I have always had good food and good service; even when it's been years since I was there...the fried pickles are great and the gumbo is really wonderful.

Ditto.

Second choice is Jerry's Cajun Cafe--best Gumbo evah! (No view but it's closer to the Airport if you need a place that easy in & out of area).

Thanks everyone for the food recommendations! Sadly, we were short on time, so the food quest was put on hold.

Today we took our guest back to the P-cola airport, and drove back on the scenic road from Gulf Breeze to Navarre. Wow- jaw-dropping beautiful!:clap:There is no reason to take any other route!

...except if you want to save on the toll...then go from Navarre to Gulf Breeze.
