Favorite HBO/Showtime shows?

I'm currently hooked on Dexter, Weeds, Hung, and True Blood. (Although both True Blood and Weeds are really starting to annoy me in various ways.)

I really am looking forward to the next season of Dexter which I think starts in just a few weeks. That show is just incredible!

Dexter, This American Life, True Blood, United States of Tara, Penn & Teller, Real Time with Bill Maher, Ladies No. 1 Detective Agency (please bring it back for another series. It was so different than anything else on tv) Curb Your Enthusiasm, Eastbound & Down, Nurse Jackie.

I might as well get my money's worth out of the premium channels.

I want to like Hung- love seeing a series set in Detroit, and I like some of the themes they seemed to be trying to explore, but it's just not well enough written to pull off what it's trying to do.

I forgot about Nurse Jackie, that is an amazing show. It just doesn't last long enough, they should make it an hour long show. Felt like the season ended too quick, or maybe it's just on a break for a week, it didn't show up in my dvr this week.

I tried watching Nurse Jackie....couldn't commit the time.

I actually don't really care too much about Jackie or why she's trying to hide the two sides of her life from each other. For me it's about the supporting characters- I utterly adore Zoe, and Eleanor, Mo, Grace and Cooper are also great.

I don't have either, anymore, but when I did I was totally hooked on Deadwood. Great show!

I am hooked on True Blood, Entourage and Weeds.

True Blood is bugging me with the terrible makeup on Eric and Bill this season.

two great non HBO/Sho series are Breaking Bad and Mad Men on AMC

Ummm, Dexter, Dexter, and Dexter. Although there are no women characters in the entire series who are likable. The writers must not like women very much.
I saw the trailer for the upcoming season.....fabulous.

I'm not really liking HBO as much these days, at least not as much as the oldies: sopranos, sex in the city, six feet under.

perhaps it is just me not really enjoying anything on TV these days besides a good movie. true blood and weeds are interesting but don't do it for me - can't commit to either. I do like Bill Maher, Entourage, and Flight of the Conchords - but not glued to any of them.
