Where would you choose to live if you couldn't/didn't live in sowal, and why? Is there someplace you visit that you love? Or someplace that's been on your list, but you haven't visited yet? Or do you have friends/family somewhere who love it where they are? Or do you love where you live now (sowal excluded; already full up on love here)?

Don't get excited; I'm not going anywhere. Just doing a little survey for a project. Thanks in advance for your input.

Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I live now because it's a great university town and has very nice neighborhoods and is near an airport and I have great friends here and this is where my children have grown up (and call home) and I like my 100-year-old home, especially the front porch. Though I really need to get to SoWal during the long, cold winters (this old house really doesn't get very warm in the winters). These winters are feeling pretty old to me now and in a few years I'll be spending parts of them in SoWal.

I also like Portland, Maine, and Barga, Italy. People who know me on SoWal.com already know this, though these are places I like to visit and I'm not sure I could live there long-term.

Ann Arbor and SoWal have my heart...
