Everything! Ok, well that's not totally true... A garage, snowblower, and a vehicle with 4WD make winter infinitely more enjoyable. Fresh snow, fireplaces, warm fuzzy sweaters, snuggly socks, sledding, ice skating, skiing, snowshoeing, mittens and hot chocolate are bonuses!

actually, I LOVE everything about a SoWal winter because of the mild weather - its going to be 60 today and I call that absolutely perfect winter weather. still jeans and warm clothes. even a fire in the fireplace. but no freezing cold pain.
but I WOULD move north with you for a winter and give it a try I think I would really enjoy it, if for just one season. I'll try anything. once.

too hot (and even a little humid) to have a fire in the fireplace but there will be more time for that later.

My temp. gauge read 70 yesterday and it's on my porch in the shade!!! I'm happy now...even with the rain.

I thought it felt like 70! my car said 66. whatever it was it was such a beautiful day and we all should have been at the beach!!!!!!!
