Let's hear about your weekend beach plans

Since I am one of those poor souls who doesn't live at the beach and lives vicariously through those of you who do, please be so kind as to share your beach weekend plans or events. Pictures would be even better!

And in the interest of quid pro quo, I'll tell you that my plans involve going into my closest big city (Corsicana, 20 miles away) to help celebrate Derrick Days (focuses on their long ago oil boom history). Plus my husband's two-man band has an afternoon gig downtown- whoo hoo!!! Party on in East Texas.

(also in the interest of full disclosure, this is an attempt to lighten the mood in lounge for a few minutes)

I plan to bring Kathy beer, NOT get Miss Kitty's car (or anyone else's) stuck in the sand, and see if it warm enough to swim sober.

And get some sun so I am not mistaken for Casper ................. but not so much that I look like a touron!

Scooter, I was in the surf this morning and it's great!

My plan is to do some more fishing.

We started a little early by playing hooky from work for about an hour this morning and hit the surf to fish. The little lady got a double Pompano that we'll be enjoying over the weekend. Sun and surf is about there is to do. Sounds kinda boring huh!

Forecast calling for severe storms! Maybe we won't get them. I plan on reading some more of Water For Elephants hunkered down in my house if bad weather, otherwiset, maybe SSFM and then beach to try out new shorty.

Corsicana is the closest BIG city??? You poor thing! I just moved from DFW and remember the tiny town of Corsicana. While adorable, it is definitely not big. I couldn't imagine that having to be my big city comparison!

Bad news on the beach front: rain forecasted for the weekend.
I think yours might be the enviable one this time!

Saw a bunch of Sowallers at the Farmer's Market - lots of goodies to sample and buy!
