Can I play, too?! I'm fantastic at shaping brows, and I REALLY like margaritas!

I use a strange mix of products-- I do LOVE anything BE, but I love to play with color, and sometimes the BE shades just aren't intense enough. I also like Pixie and Physician's Formula for eyeshadows, Boots No. 7 Maximum Volume mascara in brown/black, Estee Lauder (ANYTHING Estee Lauder, really) but particularly their Artist's eye crayon in softsmudge black.

I love NP Set's Lip Stain and Plumper in Star, EL's High Gloss in Rose, Pixie's RoseLipTreat #2, and Neutrogena's Moistureshine Gloss in First Blush... Good stuff...

Oh, and I've recently developed a love affair with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro nail polish--it's got the most amazing, wide, flat brush--just one stroke will cover your whole nail, and it's totally goof-proof! Never underestimate the positive energy of a good mani-pedi when you're changing your style... A fun pop of color can change your whole outlook for the day!

:clap::wave: This is what I'm talking about. Please do play. I've seen some of the pixie products, but not tried them. You are a beauty treasure trove and I need to catch up with you on the hair dressers advice from last week. Maybe I need a whole SoWal beauty day.:D

I looooooove Makeup!!! There is a big makeup graveyard under my side of our vanity that my husband doesn't know about. :)

I haven't gotten natural color from the sun since 1988, on my honeymoom, when I started to get an itchy rash whenever I get burned or too much sun. I'm happy about it now, since it kept me from aging my skin too much all these years. However, I do love a sunkissed look in the summer, so here's my recipe:

My fail-proof foundation for the past three years has been Chanel Teint Innocence in Soft Beige. It is a cream-to-powder and this stuff really holds on tight, even in humidity.
I top that off with my holy grail product, Bare Escentual's Faux Tan mineral bronzer. Properly applied, this stuff is the shiz!
I use Nars cream blush in Turkish red, even putting a little bit on my nose to look sunburned...Then I dust all over with Smashbox highlighter in Prism.
On my lips, I'll either use Chanel Longwearing lipstick in Rose Quartz, or Benefit Lip Balm with a nude liner.

Thanks for asking! Nobody has ever asked before or gives a crap what makeup I'm using. :D

I use a great website, Makeupalley - Street Smart Beauty - Homepage to check out product reviews before I buy....

Thank you. :clap::clap::wave:

I knew some gulls had to have some groovy makeup secrets out there. I have been wanting to try Chanel foundation for a while now. I may have to try and get my hands on some samples. I am addicted to Chanel 22 fragrance and have been since I was like 8 yrs old. It's still one of my faves.

Here's what I use:
Natura Bisse Oxygen moisturizer
Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation SPF 15
Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick (concealer)
Bobbi Brown Original Formula Loose Powder
Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Cheek Tint
Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow (bone and taupe)
PowderLiner eyeliner in Coal 01 (I can only find it at Patchouli?s in Rosemary)
Diorshow Waterproof Mascara in black
L?Oreal Infallible (it?s dry so I have to apply the gloss that comes with it often, but it?s the only lipstick I?ve found that stays on)
uut

Can't help you on the brows in SoWal.

For detailed makeup advice, attached is the tutorial that our daughter Beach Jacket posted on one of her wedding blogs. It's geared towards wedding photos, but it's also her normal regime when she decides to wear makeup. All rights reserved.

Hope this helps, Aleo! Congrats on the weight loss.

BR, you always looked so pulled together and classy when I've seen you. You're makeup looks great. I've never tried the BB makeup. I'm starting to think I need to do some sample shopping. Beach Jacket's tutorial is awesome. I want to try the MF line too. Looks like it would work well onstage too in an intimate theater setting since it's HD and usual stage makeup looks too much that close to an audience. Thank you, thank you!!!!!:clap::wave:

Thanks too for that. I need to add some exercise in to keep the scale moving down. That would add some color to my cheeks without makeup...lol.

My perfect beach
Ooh, forgot, Alicia. I posted a thread asking for great eyebrow shaper awhile back, and consensus seems to be Luxe Apothotique in the Commons. I haven't been yet, but plan to go soon.

FWIW:
I don't wear a lot of makeup, but as a blonde who had fun in the sun during the 70's, I finally reached the stage of Spending Large Amounts of Money on Tiny Bottles of Lotion.
I get a lot of skincare stuff from Paula Begoun, who also analyzes the ingredients of many makeup products (and offers reviews.)
She began offering her own makeup products, and they're okay. Whenever you order from her you can pick out free samples, too.
