People have a hard time visualizing large sums.

Once you start talking millions, billions and trillions there are conceptual issues.

This video casts the proposed budget cuts in terms we can understand.

That video was posted to youtube maybe a year ago. it might have had relevance then (might). Also he speaks for himself and certainly not for me when he assumes that the public doesn't understand the difference between a million and a trillion. Maybe that's true of the people he associates with. I don't know.

It would have worked better for me, if they had shown how many of those "pennies" were in the red zone before Obama took office.It's seems kind of silly to blame all them pennies on him.

I think blame was directed more at the lack of pennies (or at least fractions of a penny) being removed more than the number there.

Yeah, I know. It seems like a generally overwhelming bunch of pennies. Maybe each and everyone of us should give up our social security and medicare... maybe I need another drink...

I say this in a good way, Lucifer ...only you and you only, have the ability to visualize the difference between a million and a trillion in your head... I am constantly amazed and WOWED by your many intellectual and now visualizing skills. Since I fall into that "Dumb, not understanding area" that folks like you don't associate with...I guess we will never meet. SOB!

The blame game is getting old...too many "Bush reruns" being used to cover up the lack of "high ratings" for this new Obama show. With all the recent critical reviews and lost of sponsorships I bet this show gets canned in 2012!

All I said was I would like to see how much of the deficit is Obama's fault and how much of it is due to previous administrations. If you're not interested in visualizing this, you can keep on visualizing this like it was a game show.

Debt or deficit? I think you meant debt. Here's the growth under this administration and congress thus far. They are doing a bang up job, don't you think?
