Florida already ranks at the bottom of the list in percentage of federal dollars received (stimulus package in particular). Why would we elect Scott who says as governor he would not accept more federal dollars?

We're 4th in population but receive less in federal dollars than we send to Washington. (97 cents to the $1) Other states with lower populations and fewer problems are getting our share. Something is wrong. Our politicans need to be working in Washington for us -- not making political statements which they think will play to voters.

You do realize that is a state receives more from Washington than it sends to Washington then either a. another state is getting less then they paid; or b. the national government is borrowing money.

Decisions should be based on need and national interest based on very narrow goals, not who paid what.

I think you will be happy when you take a look at Alex. She has a good track record both in the private sector for 28 years and in government; most of all, she is a woman of integrity.www.alexsink2010.com.
I've taken a look at her website. Thank you for making it available to all. She says all the right things, the only question is, will she live up to her campaign promises? That said, despite all the immediate rude and snarky bashing of Rick Scott by the liberals on board, which totally makes me want to support him, I find Alex Sink's stand on issues very acceptable. Until someone shows me the other side of the Rick Scott fraudulent situation, she has my vote.

I am in line with your views. The immediate bashing has led me to take another look at Scott. I am far from confident that Sink is nothing more than a big spending/big tax liberal no matter what she says. Thankfully i do not have to decide today.

AndyA. You are welcome. I have known her and her policies for a long time. She has my vote. ..and she was against the near shore drilling off our coast 'way before it was popular to have that point of view. So, she is also courageous!

I am sure she squashed a bug when she was five or something equally as trivial and we will be seeing it in the near future.

Because that money always comes with strings attached.

With a republican dominated legislature to keep her in check, we shouldn't have many issues. Plus she is the CFO, so she knows a thing or two about balanced budgets.

I don't know much about Scott yet. But I don't think I'd be unhappy with Sink if she won. The debates will be interesting.

We've had a democrat in the Governor's office for 4 years now so it seems like the status quo to me.

Man, Scott is currently out ahead of Sink by 5 points according to Rassmussen. Apparently a lot of people like this guy.

And PPP has Sink up by 7. Given the bias of each of the two polls, it's pretty much even at a point when a number of Florida voters are still probably fuzzy on whether Sink is male or female. (huge percentage of voters admit to knowing nothing about her)
