If you dislike dems and Obama then your party is coming. But if you want to see our problems fixed then I hate to break it to you but bringing in more chapless asses won't make a difference.

The donkeys vs. elephants thing is an illusion- a distraction. We already lost.

I disagree, what we get after Nov is divided government. Including a split Senate, a republican House, and a democrat in the White House.

Trust me, things are looking up for the country!

I am not in any way saying that I am against balanced govt. In theory this is ideal. But in practice I believe this will amount to no net gain for the country. This opinion is based on current times/political climate.

I would prefer to be wrong. To that end, pls provide a list of republican candidates likely to unseat a democrat incumbent who most resemble/represent the republican party with which you and I can identify.

Hope & Change was a distraction to solving the real problems. What some perceive to be a problem others don't. I don't think it's a problem for the rich to get richer. I think it's problem when Gov't tries to tell us what we can and can't do, others demand it. My point obviously is we can't always agree on the issues let alone how to solve them.

I think platonic assless chaps booty shaking is an excellent way for me to celebrate what I hope to be the beginning of the end of big gov't. Our best days are ahead of us.

AndrewG, what are our problems, in your opinion? And what are republicans going to do to solve them?

Besides wanting to beat the dems- what exactly are republicans saying they plan on doing if/when they take control of Congress?

End of big government, less spending, reversal of socialist policy, restoration of honor and reclaiming of civil rights are as abstract as hope and change- so pls provide something tangible.

Geo,

Sometimes just winning is all I need. Honestly, I don't care who wins as long as they agree that I deserve to keep most of the money I earn, be able to afford nice vacations and that I can raise my kids with the promise that they are inheriting the American dream not a load of debt.

Could I get into a lengthy, well researched and aptly notated debate? Absolutely! It's just not fun going back and forth endlessly mincing words.

It's harder nowadays to find something worth truly celebrating. I truly believe the change in Congress will boost confidence and add a sense of certainty to uncertain times that all of us so desperately need. Our economy needs this to thrive again. It's by no means the answer to all of our problems but we need something fresh and new, a shot in the arm so we don't fear our future.

Time to get my groove back on...

Ah- hope and change. Got it.

P.S. I kid. Kinda.

I hear ya. My simplest answer would be that undefined hope & change brings uncertainty and that's what we've gotten. I think republicans will do a better job listening to the people.
