What will be interesting after November 2nd will be the results. They won't matter to the Rubio supporters who will be masturbating with tea bags over the win.

They will matter to the Democrats and Independents who bought into a very well crafted whisper campaign that Meek didn't have a chance. Guaranteed when you look at the returns that if Democrats has voted with their party, in this race, they would have clinched it.

I think your reply is ugly...Kurt does allow you to get way with a lot...very tasteless....really shows your true character!!!!:banned:

You guys do realize you've been duped by a narcissistic career politician who will promise pretty much anything to garner your vote? In the end, the promises he makes are thin as tissue paper. You should all be applying your principals and voting for Meek. If you were, he'd actually have a shot at this.

If you're going to whine, you should be whining at your fellow republicans who are going with Crist. That's the kicker. That's why the money is on Crist over Meek, although realistically speaking, the situation is looking pretty grim.

Or have you been duped thinking Rubio isn't going to become a career politician. Conservatives like to talk about removing incumbents but come election day they can't resist voting them back in. The ones who are voted out in many cases will be replaced by Tea Party wackos.

:D I'll vote for "tea party wackos" and "tea party extremists" over the current batch we have running congress every time! They're a major improvement!

Too late. He already is. Look at how his personal financial position has improved since he was first elected, including the sort of sweetheart college/university job that got Ray Sansom in all kinds of hot water.

As for Meek, a summary of that story:

Why isn't Obama in Florida supporting Meek (D)? Why are fellow democrats not supporting Meek full force? I've heard no one talk negatively about him, but most democrats seem to be pulling for the former Republican, Crist.

Bill Clinton's been lobbying for him in the peninsula. I think that given the current political climate, the Dems feel that havng a big name current office-holder campaign for him would do more harm than good.

Not hugely different than GWB decidedly not campaigning for a number of close races in 06.

So in a round about way we have Charlie Crist to thank for Rick Scott as governor and Marco Rubio in the senate. I hope he's proud of himself. :D
