I'm back!!!! At least for a little bit. I have been winterizing the house this weekend and just now got on the computer. I have been busy all weekend but at least it was on my own housse. I sure hope we get a coordinator or all this posting is for naught. Just kidding. I have been having fun.
We have screened in the front and back porches so we eat on the back porch all summer and can sit on the swing on the front porch all year long. I made frames for the screens and inserted plexiglass in them and covered the screens. We did the front porch 3 years ago and usually put plastic over the screens on the back porch. This year I made the plexiglass covers for the back also. Now both porches are closed in. This helps keep the cold out, minimizes drafts and cuts down on the gas bill. I made frames for the double side window last year so now they are all up. Every little bit helps. I got a swing that my grandfather made and it is about 70 years old. I put a space heater on the front porch and now we can swing on it and watch the snow fall in the winter. With the plexglass the porch is basically a all seasons room.
