We Always Hear about the beautiful, What About the Ugly?

Gatlinburg has always sucked. Except that there was one restaurant and one hotel that were really nice back when we went. I'd have to do some research to find the names. Was it the Grayton Hotel?

It was pretty much souvenir city.

It might have been the Greystone. When I was a kid we went there and my brother and his friend accidently burned the century old cypress trees up with fireworks or some such arson related materials.

It's also amazingly racist. I went on a date there once. Mind you it was two guys, and my date loudly proclaimed his distaste that the hostess had sat two (n-words) at the table next to us. I wanted to crawl under the table and die. Needless to say that was a first and last date. The really scary part was the fact that no one in the restaurant batted an eyelash, including the black couple he was referencing.

That the black couple was seated in the main part of the restaurant at all instead of having to use a takeout window back by the dumpster actually counts as progressive by Perry standards.

I won't tell our daughter. She is the lead photographer for an Indian wedding there at the end of the month. There will be a 500-person processional with the wedding party on elephants, a symbol of royalty. They are paying all of her expenses, plus her fees for an event of this magnitude. She is so excited!

Why is Cleveland bad? She will be there with the videographer. Should her husband or I escort her? We have Delta miles.

If she needs a escort, have her notify me. I would be willing to help out if I can.

Freeport- there go the chiclets.
Add Mossyhead and the little kkk towns spotted throughout Alabama.
Buttugly are towns that have alot of hate- you can feel it.
