I hear a lot of Republicans use this "excuse", but I've heard almost no Democrats say the same thing. I believe it's their way of condoning their lack of ethics and morals.

R's got pretty much what was expected from GWB. Can the D's say the same thing for Obama?

I'm not defending the right. I honestly and truly believe that they all suck. But Obama has been so bad, the R's are probably going to take the Senate back and control both houses. Won't that be fun. A party that can't get out of it's own way. Joy.

I only participate in political discussions on the internet for pure amusement. Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, is ever accomplished.

At last look, the government is made of three branches and two are badly broken. The house has vetoed almost every appointment Obama ever offered. No president in history has faced this level of obstructionism. Since the Supreme Court ruled corporations are people, the ballgame is over.

Wouldn't be a hoot if a president said an unprovoked first strike and occupation of another country would make us safer. Naw, that could never happen.

What would be even funnier is if someone had such a complete lack of how the system works that they thought the President could declare war without the Congress.

It would also be hysterical if they were fed a diet of cherry picked data that encouraged war in an oil rich country by two oil men one of them being a former CEO of a company that was to receive billions in no bid contracts and this man was the VP and personally made close to forty million from the war effort.
