Here is all I'm going to say on this terrible event...

1) If you spend $20 to $50 dollars to buy a baseball helmet in advance for a peaceful protest, you are not intending on being peaceful.

2) If you bring hair spray and a lighter (and then use it as a flame thrower) to a peaceful protest, you are not intending on being peaceful.

3) If you suit up in body armor and carry a high powered rifle to a peaceful protest, you should have simply stayed home. Regardless of your State Rights.

4) If you have to carry a shield to a peaceful protect like a gladiator or Captain America, you really shouldn't show up (especially, when its decorated with White Power symbols).

5) If you want to go to peacefully protest as a display of free speech (no matter how vulgar) and it gets ugly, you need to go home. Let the local Law Enforcement handle it and take control. Why stay to fight, unless that was the Intent. To Fight and Provoke (goes for both sides).

6) If you travel more than 60 miles to go into a big city to protest, you might be an agitator... check yourself before you leave.

7) If your protest is designed to elicit a negative emotional and physical response from the "other side" you have no intent in peace and should have stayed home.

8) If you actively attack local law enforcement, that are there to protect your rights to tengage in this nonsense, you should be arrested and locked up. Regardless of what side you are on.

9) If you are caught on video / film throwing objects into a crowd, you should be arrested.

10) If you drive a vehicle into a crowd of ANYONE (other than a bona fide terrorist or other felon committing a crime) you should be arrested, convicted and sentenced to prison.

My thoughts come from watching various media reports of the terrible situation in VA today. A brief check of the Internet will substantiate my posts.

This is wrong on ALL levels.

No one should be using a vehicle as a weapon against anyone. No matter what they are doing. The internet (and the law) has my back.

If I had been there to protest racism I might have bee wearing a helmet and other protection against the nazi violence I knew was going to come.

More and more photos are on-line and they get more and more ridiculous, on BOTH sides.

Heavily Armed Militia Members, Women with Pink Wooden Shields, Men with medieval looking shields and sticks, people of all ages in hockey helmets, skateboard helmets, baseball helmets with all sorts of eye protection and padded up too.. If you look at some of the fight photos, these folks all were taught how to riot fight, going for the goggles, ganging up on those on the ground, etc. It looked like full contact LARP'ing only with real weapons...

The hate is very visible in each groups eyes in these photos. It wasn't just the Nazi scumbags, but the Black Lives Matter and all the other groups too.

This should never have been allowed to happen.

Sounds like Trump's version of events.

Non violent resistance has proven to be the most effective strategy over the past 50 years or so. Some of today's generation on display yesterday thinks fighting fire with fire is the answer. I understand their frustration with lack of progress toward solutions, and the complicity of today's republican party, overt and covert. We are moving backwards and that has consequences.

But make no mistake. There is only one side to blame here and that is the side holding torches. If they are not put down they will be back and will use their guns, bombs, and cars to kill and terrorize.

BLM advocates the killing of law enforcement. That is terrorism. Those bused in to VA to participate were professional agitators, just look at their "riot gear". I'm not defending the Nazi gun toting scum. They were way out of line from the beginning as I believe they knew this would happen, regardless of their Right to "Peacefully Protest".

Wrong John, BLM does not promote the killing of law enforcement no matter how many times you repeat it or hear it on Fox. This is on the Nazi terrorists who found it safe to come out of the shadows under Trump and no one else. Out of all the counter protest groups I'm curious why you only focus on BLM.
