What I'm hearing in the neighborhood: all the Seaside pool attendants not vaccinated are out sick, Surfing Deer closed due to covid, same as Big Daddy's and BlueMountain Beach Bakery (which posted on Instagram about 2-week closure due to kitchen staff illnesses). Anyone else have some local news??
What little faith I had in humanity is gone. What these unvaxxed people don't realize is that they are screwing things up for people who really want to get out and do things. Even though I'm vaxxed and may have very little to fear personally, there is no way I'm walking into some of these f****ng petri dishes. It didn't have to be this way.

I have my doubts about humanity also but there is a glimmer of hope. We are all fighting the monster of fear and loathing. We all have the beauty and the beast of humanity within us. The only way for humanity to survive is for us to manage the beast within each of us. If humanity continues to divide into large groups with fear and loathing of each other then the prognosis is bad. That said and speaking from my own observations I am finding the "don't tread on my rights of freedom to hurt others" group to slowly understand that the greater good has a better purpose for humanity. The new political party of Trump (pot) uses fear of government and fear of a cultural war to manipulate the emotions of about half of us. It works because there IS government corruption and there IS a F you cultural shift moving through society. The only way you can see what is really happening in both groups is to be a member of both groups or neither group. I try to be a member of both groups and yes that means I have conflicts with both groups. Not a fun place to be but I really understand both sides that way. There is hypocrisy on both sides but the pot party has temporarily (I hope) lost site of the greater good or human purpose. I am finding that many are starting to find that this cultural war and fear of government has blinded them to human purpose and they are slowly starting to see again. Usually it takes a death of a friend or family member which is tragic but trust me the tragedy in civil wars is almost inhuman. Anyway for now it is just a glimmer of hope trying to shine through a lot of sadness...
It’s time you pick a side because they have. How much needless suffering and death will it take? What will be the final cost of their willful ignorance?
