Anyone else see it? What first intrigued me about this movie is that they cast Jennifer Hudson as Effie White. She' s the girl that get's cast out of the "Dreamettes". I loved Jennifer when she was on American Idol. The girl could sing then but man, she showed the world that she can sing now! The movie was really good. I'm not a huge fan of musical movies but I loved this one. I especially enjoyed the costumes! There's 2 songs that are just incredible and the movie audience applauds. Oh, Eddie Murphy does a really good job of playing a "James Brown" type of character. Beyonce looked beautiful and super skinny. She must have lost quite a bit of weight for this part. Anyway, I recommend seeing it!

Saw Dreamgirls last night- very enjoyable! Dragged a bit in the middle, and a couple of Effie's songs really dragged out a bit (too much of the wailing for me), but overall a very good movie. Eddie Murphy was amazing--

she ripped my heart out every time!

Much deserved!

(I would hope that Simon the closet case from American Idol sends her flowers! And I hope she sends him a recipe for CROW! If not I will.)

In case you missed the BET awards last night, check out Holliday and Hudson singing "And I Am Telling You." It will be rebroadcast several times, including tonight on BET at 8 PM EDT.
