I did not care for any of the finalists. What was the point of the reality portion of it this year? The women that the reality part highlighted most of them did not even make the first cut???

Off the top of my head: One use of "then" is strictly about time, as in "I would love to be there, but I'm busy then." Another is a cause-effect comparison, which is also related to time: "If she says that one more time, then I'm gonna hit her in the mouth."

"Than" is a comparison: "I'm a fatter than she is, but I'm still cuter than her."

Did that clear it up, then? Or do we need someone smarter than me to help you?

Reminds me of two emails I got last week. Most staff people are afraid when they send out a blanket email, thinking that some smart-alec faculty member is going to correct their grammar.

I wish my town had the equivalent of SoWal.com ... today the woman co-anchoring the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion parade on our local NBC station was clearly drunk or on something, slurring her words, making no sense! It was so bad she was taken off the air near the end. She allegedly claims she had the flu. Unfortunately there is nowhere for people who watched the debacle to gather online and laugh at her ... if it had happened this afternoon in SoWal there would be 100 posts by now, at least!!

OMG :rofl: That is AWESOME. I always roll into my carpool line late, but on the days I get there early, there are always moms bopping in and out of their cars to chat with each other about very important things while showing off their outfits and haircuts. I am not brave enough to plop a beach chair and pajamas in the middle of that, but you are. Come visit!!

Without going into too much detail here about my daily work stuff, I have been pondering all aspects of my work life, what should stay, what I should drop, what I should go for and how it all melds together in the present tense. And also how to work it all in between loads of laundry and chasing Katiefunn. I also want to have time to SoWal.
