Letters from my son at camp. Today's was a confession of sorts- apparently there was an "incident" involving shaving cream, misplaced blame (yeah right:roll: ), an exploding bottle of aftershave, and barn duty for punishment, which he "volunteered" for in order to take one for the team.:roll: :roll:

In the middle of watching all the pain and sadness in this ugly old world, it gives me deep and lasting joy to know that this life isn't all that I have.

(Yet life is still so terribly sad sometimes.)

I love when my nephew calls me and tells me he misses me while on vacation at the beach and he has 2 kids with him vacationing with their families to play with.

My house is finally quite, the sound of crickets in the yard, my puppies snuggling up close to FBB as he sleeps, and the smell of fresh paint from an upstairs bedroom where a sweet boy, now a handsome young man, used to sleep. Life goes by all too fast. Savor the small pleasures life brings your way.

This is a good thing to take happiness in, gttbm. Some people live all their lives without knowing the essence of what you've just written. Lucky you to feel it and know it.

Swinging on the front porch swing with my grandbabies. They love to pick out books to read to them while swinging. So sweet! I hope they don't grow up too fast but know that they will.

reading a very good trilogy... the saga continues so you don't have to be sad when the story is over. by the end of the third book, I am satisfied with the story and not sad its done.

lazy summertime days that are not filled with things to do and places to be. taking time to hang out with the family and just be. going to a movie in July, at the last minute, not even planned.

Missing all of you...it has been hit or miss between not having a puter...but now we have one to share (Kaiboo & I) thanks to IBD!
And thanks to Cork & Biff for getting it up & running, my working (at Fired Up) and having too much funn!!!! Went to Alys Beach last night and saw PV, Marthamydear (sp??? ) and Chickpea!!!
We were supposed to go to Stinky's too, but it started raining cats & dogs before we could leave...so it was a no go....there is always next week!

Cork, Kaiboo & I are taking a road trip tomorrow...NOLA bound!!!! I have only been once and Kaiboo has never been...we will get to see my brother and niece (yes I do actually have another brother...who (whom???) lives in NOLA) We are staying at the Andrew Jackson Hotel....any one have any comments about it??

I still have at least 9 days left here.
Kaiboo is so funny ...she leaves the 25th and yesterday she was counting the days she has left here...and was soooo sad...only 4 YEP...she has the addiction!! She has made some friends here (locals) and is ready to move!
