 This thread can be the opposite of the Pet Peeve, the Political, and all the Beach Issues threads.

Did you do or see anthing or anyone this weekend that made you happy, laugh, etc.? :idontno:

This morning we kayaked with Gypsea- her company is always enjoyable and fun. We took to the marshes at the back of Western Lake into the creek/canal. It was like another world- but the best part was seeing 2 very young blue heron chicks. They were still pretty fuzzy.

Hearing L'il Pea #4 laugh and laugh while dreaming. Hearing a sound-asleep kid crack up never gets old.

Mangy Mountain is much more beautiful than it sounds!

Happy to see it.

Also happy to be back in my own little house in North Hall, with my Potter books, in my own bed. (Although, I must say I had the best room in the house where I lived at camp. It used to be the dining room of an old house, and it had a whole wall of floor to 10-ft.-ceiling windows, overlooking a garden...I'm about the luckiest gal y'all have ever not quite met.)

Good to see you back gull. The room sounds like my kind of bedroom, a dining room, sleeping place and right near the posies? I could have died right there.

That is wonderful! Awesome. Maybe someday my older daughter will meet your daughter and they'll be hanging around SoWal together. When do you leave SoWal? I'll be getting there early/mid August.

Miss Kitty.

Two months is not enough. You need to re-think the plan and and stay in SoWal 4 months- that is once a quarter and very reasonable, IMO.

 ...this just about made me cry. I am up to 11 weeks. 5 in the fall, 5 in the spring and one at NY's. Be careful what you ask for...I can be annoying.

BTW...let me tell you what made me happy today. I was driving about 65 mph on the Dallas North Tollway and thought my car felt funny, then I heard a pop and thought I had run over something, then my car got hard to steer...HUGE BLOWOUT on right front tire. Limped off and called in this order...my friend I was meeting for lunch, Mr. K and then the Roadside asst. I feel so lucky...well, except I probably need 4 new tires.

:yikes: OMG, so glad you were okay. the thought of a blow out scares me!!! when I was only about 6 weeks old, my parents were traveling from Virginia (where we lived) to Bham, and had a blow out. Just before the it happened, my mother had gotten me out of my babyseat and was holding me. I'm sure they were not wearing seatbelts back then. the car rolled. my mom held tight to me. we were all okay.

glad you are too.

Thank goodness you are OK! I have a fear of this happening to me for some reason, maybe because it never has.
