...for my lost youth. I bought my first pair of cheapie reading glasses yesterday. And I'll be danged if those things don't actually make the words clearer.

I'm right there with ya. Just picked up my first pair last Saturday after my eyesight had exceeded my arm's maximum extention.

Last year it was a hearing aid for my right ear to correct years of abuse inflicted upon it when I was in college playing in a band.

Lord help me! I'm only 44 years old. If things keep failing this rate, I'll be in the market for a pump, soon, and I don't have to say where that will go!!

I wish they sold those glasses for seeing far away Pea. I can see just fine up close, but I got yelled at by my neighbor for not waving the other day, but I didn't know who she was.

I second that! It does make life much easier. Also, spend a little bit more to get reasonable quality. The first few pairs I bought, the lens fell out of one or the other sides almost immediately You know, getting older ain't for sissies! :shock:

OMG. There was actually a conversation regarding this in my 40-something household tonight. The consensus was that it's easier just to sit on the couch and eat Cheezits. :funn:

I started buying these last year. Now, everywhere I go, I start looking for funky looking reading glasses. I have a pair in almost every room!

But I WILL NOT buy elastic waisted pants or SAS shoes or get one of those perms like the ladies in church!!!!!

At last count I had 11 pairs of readers, and 1 pair of sunglasses readers. All are completely scratched up and pathetic, but I am waiting for Target to put out the bin of $1 glasses.

Not sure if the vid your talking about is the same, but in the 2nd (I think) Jackass movie, they made one of the guys up as a really old man in shorty shorts with his boys hanging out the leg. They put him on a street corner and started filming.

I feel you pain Pea....last month I was in Walgreens trying to read a bottle of Mortin to figure out how much to give my son and couldn't read the dang thing. The little stand of glasses was right there...so I grabbed a pair Hated the fact they worked. Bought a pair right then and there........but at least I got the Cardinal RED ones
