Record time.

I think Daddy- O had a heads up on this one because he was so quick on the ban.

Never mind, you know my answer Alifunn!!!!! :yikes:

Personally, I feel if your child is so stupid they can't blow on a whistle, Darwinism SHOULD be a factor!!! Rather similar to the people who won the lawsuit so that they now have to say "remove child before collapsing stroller" on the tag.

The gene pool keeps getting shallower and shallower!!!:bang:

Dirty! To clarify, Oscar Mayer's weinermobile stopped giving out plastic weiner whistles because THEY were a choking hazard.

We were talking about whistles there? I think I'm getting my threads confused.

p.s. I have a fairly new wienie whistle--I forgot where it came from--so apparently they haven't stopped giving them out.

Okay, first I'm a woman!

Second, despite the urban legends of "spare parts" that end up in processed meat, it's trimmings, not eyeballs etc! It's Oscar Mayer, not Upton Sinclair's "the Jungle". My father is very selective (and a bit obsessive about meat) and wouldn't let his little girl eat icky stuff! I grew up in the town where Oscar Mayer was founded (great-aunt used to complain about her first home being too close so she'd hear pigs squealing, Grandpa worked there, and then Dad) and have watched as Kraft General Foods/Phillip Morriss have changed it from a highly philanthropic local business that took great care of its employees to a "corporate" entity.

Your daddy a big fan of [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_nitrite"]Sodium Nitrite[/ame] and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bovine_somatotropin"]BGH[/ame]? Or does he just really, really like a lot of fat in his food with little flavor? What does he consider "icky"?

Sodium Nitrate prevents botulism and BGH has been around for years - it's the artificial/added stuff causing the problems. I'm not advocating a total Oscar's diet, but as with everything else, enjoying it in moderation won't hurt you.........and it's better than many of the competitors/alternatives!

Fat is not only filling, but it's tasty, too!

Sodium Nitrate prevents botulism

I assume you mean Sodium Nitrite? Sodium Nitrate is in gunpowder which prevents botulism too if exploded properly so that it sends a projectile into the proper place from the end of a gun. That doesn't mean I want to eat it or have "the man" tell me there's nothing wrong with it. :bang:

BGH has been around for years

So has cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity..... Thumbtacks have been around for years, but I don't think i'll be having them for breakfast.

i love you ....

Not as much as I love you for prescribing chocolate for my virus. When I crawled out of bed this "morning" at noon with a throbbing headache, I called my mother, who told me to take something for it and be sure to eat something with it.

I figured I'd take your advice AND hers, so I had a Little Debbie. My headache wasn't any better, but chocolate is always worth a shot.

I'm not positive on my spelling/chemical compounds, I just know that you have to have some chemicals to preserve food and that I've gotten funny commentary from the Poppa on people complaining about it "sodium nitrate vs. botulism and other 19th century diseases, I know what I'd choose". BGH is a natural thing in cows, the controversy/concerns came when they started adding artifical BGH to milk etc.

I'm torn between behaving myself in Daddy-O's company and trying to get myself censored. Either way, all this funn is keeping me from getting my beauty sleep.

Chocolate is SO good for you - endorphins, anti-oxidants etc!!! Maybe that's what I'll have for dinner! :idontno:
